Info listed on pageApproximately 10% of the U.S. population will have a substance use disorder at some point in their life (NIH, 2015). 46% of the U.S. population reports having a loved one with a substance use disorder (Pew, 2017; see figure). Additionally, somewhere between 14.3% and 19.7% of Americans will develop an eating disorder (Ward et al., 2019). It is clear that addiction does not discriminate based on socioeconomic status, race, gender, politics, or religion; it is the great equalizer. Addiction not only impacts the individual suffering from the disease, but it also impacts families, friends, our schools, and our communities in real and significant ways.

That is why recovery is for everyone:
Every person, every family, every community.

The Collegiate Recovery Scholarship Breakfast is an annual event held to raise funds for the nationally recognized Collegiate Recovery Program at Kennesaw State University. See the power and promise of a student-centered, research-driven program that supports students seeking and recovering from addictive disorders and mental health concerns. The event provides an opportunity to connect the community, donors and sponsors with our program and raise awareness about the needs of our students.

Please consider supporting the Collegiate Recovery Program at Kennesaw State University by becoming a sponsor. Donations provide financial and academic support through scholarships and learning initiatives that provide a pathway to a college degree for students in recovery.

Together we can change the trajectory of lives.
